Dr. Donna Glenn O.D., FIALVS, is a distinguished low vision specialist with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those suffering from severe vision loss. With over 28 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to helping patients whose vision challenges have left them feeling as though traditional solutions are no longer an option.
Dr. Glenn received her Bachelor of Science at Seton Hill College and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry School in 1995. While completing her doctorate degree in Optometry she received clinical honors in 1994 with completion of a Low Vision externship. Dr. Glenn completed Low Vision training with the renown Dr. Richard Shuldiner, O.D., FAAO, FIALVS.
Dr. Glenn’s commitment to excellence and genuine compassion for patients led her to hone her skills in low vision care and learned to leverage advanced optical devices, such as customized telescopes, microscopes, and other sophisticated optical systems, to enhance the quality of life for patients. Many of these patients suffer from conditions like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma.
As a low vision specialist, Dr. Glenn collaborates with retinal specialists to transform the lives of patients who no longer find conventional eyeglasses effective. For these patients, low vision aids like bioptics, telescopes, and microscopes become powerful tools, enabling them to regain independence and perform everyday tasks that may have seemed impossible.
Beyond the practice, Dr. Glenn enjoys a fulfilling family life with one adult child. In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking , gardening, spending time with family and enjoying the beach. She treasures moments with her dog named Murphy.
