Helping Patients
w/ The Right Solution
At Low Vision Specialists of Maryland and Virginia, our goal is to provide individual solutions for each of our patients. We have a wide variety of low vision devices that are designed to compensate for vision loss conditions/problems that cannot be addressed through traditional glasses and contacts. This allows our patients, many of whom are deemed legally blind, to regain the ability to see and perform routine tasks.
In addition to our custom optical systems, we also work with patients to address lifestyle changes that can help support and improve vision. Sometimes, patients can use vitamin therapy to help provide the macula with the proper nutrients and stop further degeneration. Patients who are living with vision loss due to neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injury, can benefit from neuro-optometric rehabilitation.
